The meeting was called to order by club president, Tom Craig. Our guests included Steve Farnsworth, Interim Director for the Four Cities Compact, and Jasen Sakol, with WAKR.
Ruth Kaser reminded club members of the upcoming Reverse Raffle & Silent Auction at Guy's on October 29th. She shared there would be a raffle committee meeting after our morning meeting. Tom introduced Jasen Sokol who will be share the MC duties during the Reverse Raffle with Carl Bako. Ruth asked club members to sell tickets, bring in auction baskets and sign- up to volunteer for the event. 
 
Our speaker was Steve Farnsworth.  Steve Farnsworth, Interim Director for the Four Cities Compact will talked about the programs offered at the 4 participating schools : Barberton, Norton, Wadsworth and Copley High Schools. Steve shared that in Career Tech students have opportunities to earn work place credentials and college credits. He also talked about the new opportunities available thanks to the SME Prime Foundation. A focus on manufacturing at Barberton H.S. with Machine Tech, Wadsworth HS with Web Programming, and Engineering Design.
