Club Meeting of May 19

The meeting was called to order by club president, Tom Craig. Guests were recognized and included Fairlawn Rotary Club member Arne van der Heyde; Manchester H.S. graduate Zoey Kohler, her mother and aunt; and Barberton H.S. graduate, Nikolina Kravljaca and her mother. 

 

Tom reminded club members of our upcoming golf outing on June 3 at Chippewa Golf Club. Raffle tickets are still available to be sold and open spots remain for sponsors and 4-somes. Next weeks meeting topic will be our Service Provider Appreciation. 

 

Tom and VP of International Service, Don Kaser presented a check for $2000 to the Fairlawn Rotary Club. Arne received the contribution from our club. The money will go towards a medical equipment.

 

VP of Vocational Service, Dr. Shelly Habegger introduced our academic scholarship recipients: Nikolina Kravljaca from Barberton High School, Zoey Kohler from Manchester High School, and Brandon Lewis, from Norton High School. Shelly shared some of the recommendations the students received as well as their future plans.
