The meeting was called to order by club president, Denny Liddle. Guests were recognized and included our speaker, Roger Wright and visiting Rotarian Chad Hartman from the Massillon Rotary Club. Announcements were made. Carl Bako shared the information from the recent Golf Outing Co. meeting: the Save the Date cards have been sent out and additional cards will be printed. The flyer is being updated for the new location. We are aiming for 32 foursomes. The outing will be held on Friday, June 2 at Barberton Brookside Country Club. VP of Club Service Selena Myers shared upcoming club events: a performance of Newsy at Porthouse in August, a Nooks and Crannies tour at Stan Hywett, packing at the Food Bank on May 20. She also asked members to read the informational email sent out to them regarding the Barberton Better Block event to be held July 28 and 29th on 2nd St NW. VP of Vocational Service Shelly Habegger shared that Play Attention has been uploaded to the other elementary school so there is one at each building. 
 
Our speaker was Roger Wright. Roger is the Director of the 4 Cities Educational Compact. 4 area high schools comprise the compact: Barberton, Norton, Copley and Wadsworth. Barbeton has the most programs. Every school in Ohio must offer career/tech Ed. There are 25 comprehensive HS in the state with 49 joint vocational schools districts. There are 17 compacts in the state. Copley HS has a chef & hospitality program and they serve lunch on Thursdays and Fridays. He discussed some of the programs offered at each school and the program partners. The 4 cities compact has a Facebook page.
