The meeting was called to order by club president, Jim Sawin. Guests were recognized and included our speaker, Gail Foster, the President of the Chippewa Lake Historical Society. Jim reminded club members of the District 6630 Sub Zero Project and asked donations be brought to the club meetings before the District Conf. April 27-29th. Bob C. updated the club on raffle tickets for the golf outing in June. Shelly is our top seller to date- 20 tickets sold. The next meeting regarding the golf outing will be at our regular meeting on Mar 29- all members are urged to attend to find out what we do, and why all hands are asked to be on deck for this event to be a success.

Gail Foster shared memories and pictures of Chippewa Lake Park. She shared that the Chippewa Lake Historical is relatively new- 3 years old. The park was in operation from 1878-1978. The ballroom was the scene where now famous entertainers could be found at the early stage of their career: Lawrence Welk Band, Neil Diamond. Chippewa Lake was known as Ohio's largest natural lake. It is a glacial lake and was about 50' deep. Now it is mostly filed with silt and is in danger of becoming a marsh in a few years.
