Club Meeting of March 17

The meeting was called to order by past president, Todd Wallace. Guests were recognized and included Kait from the Barberton Herald. Also recognized were students Jake and Jenna from Norton High School and their advisor Tricia Fletcher. Bernie was also back and has applied for membership.

The Save the Date cards have been sent out for our golf outing on June 3rd.

Selena talked about the upcoming Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony to be held on Wednesday, March 23. In addition to the ceremony there will be events downtown, including a movie about Barberton at the Lake Cinema, a new art exhibit at Nine Muses, and tours of the Magical Theatre from 4-6 PM. The ceremony is at 3pm outside of Lake Cinema.

Shelly Habbeger shared our contestants for the Club 4 Way Test Speech Contest will include the two students from Norton HS as Manchester HS withdrew from this years contest. The winner of our contest will go on to compete at the Rotary District 6630 4 Way Test Speech Contest to be held at Aurora HS. Jake was the runner up at our contest, Jenna will represent our club at the District contest.
