Club meeting of March 16

The meeting was called to order by club president, Denny Liddle. Guests were recognized and included out speaker Ken Babby with the Akron Rubber Ducks. Denny announced Barberton HS will again have mock interviews on May 4. There will be a sign-up for volunteers wishing to participate with available time from 7:45 am to 12:45 am. 

Next week will be our clubs 4 Way Test Speech Contest. There are 6 students participating from BHS, NHS and MHS. Our club will award prices for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. 

In the interest of having the least amount of distractions for our speakers our club will be altering the meeting time as well as speaker time. Effective with the April 6, 2017, meeting the meeting start time will be 7:15 am, and the speaker will go on at 7:30 am.

 

Our speaker was Ken Babby. Mr. Babby became the Owner and CEO of the Akron Rubber Ducks, Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Incians in October 2012 when he purchased the then-named Akron Aeros. He is the
