Club meeting of June 8

The meeting was called to order by club president, Denny Liddle. The report on the golf outing was given by treasurer Vic Myers: we had 19 foursomes at our event, with a net of $6575. for the Foundation. Vic shared there was some confusion about the location of the outing as some of the golfers did not pick up on the change in venue. Perhaps next years Save the Date cards as well as our advertising can promote the new location. He has set the date for the 2018 outing as June 1.

 

It was announced that former club member Ed Devane passed away, his calling hours will be at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8pm. We recognized Shelly and Jim's birthdays, (although Jim was not present). 

 

Upcoming club events include the annual dinner on June 29 for $30 a person and Barberton Rotary at the Rubber Ducks $25 gets you a ticket and buffet dinner on July 7.

 

Our speaker was Amber Genet regarding the upcoming Barberton Better Block event to be held at the end of July= July 28-29. Amber discussed some of the things that will be happening that weekend, the need for volunteers and possible club recognition.
