The meeting was called to order by club president, Jim Sawin. Jim shared that there will be tip jars at the beer garden for each service club. Patrons of the beer garden will buy tickets to get their beer. He also invited Reverse Raffle /Silent Auction Committee members to attend the planning meeting on Weds Aug 2 at 5 pm at El Jalapenos. 
Vic shared that a good event was needed due to our pledges: the final payment to Magical Theatre for their remodel project, the donation for Towpath signage, and the dental program at elementary schools.
 
Our speaker was Tom Craig. Tom told of a shared history between Scouting, Rotary and the YMCA. He shared that it was Rotary clubs that helped to spread the word about Scouting around the US, and the first headquarters for Scouting was in a YMCA. Tom said that Barberton has 10 packs and troops with 195 youth participants. Barberton is also home to the oldest troop in the council- 102 yrs old. 
Our Rotary Club sponsors pack 3113. The pack started as a Lion pack as it was K-now the kids are on to 1st and 2nd grade so they are Tigers and Wolves. The pack meets at the Lake Anna YMCA
