The meeting was called to order by past president, Jim Sawin. Guests were recognized and included our speaker, Samantha Edgar from Barberton Parks and Recreation. Our other guest was Evan Delahanty. Evan is moving his business, Peaceful Fruits to Barberton. His business will be in the former Burger King.
No one won the 50/50 pot- it is $245 plus.
Club members are urged to check the speaker list on this website. We will be at Thano's on the 10th, but we are taking a road trip on January 17.
Vic and Jim presented our speaker, Samantha Edgar with our club donation of $5000 towards the Limitless Playground to be built at McCafferty Park. Did you know that about 1 in 6 children ages 3-17 have been diagnosed with at least one developmental disability. Samantha explained the extensive research done for both the contents and location of the playground. It has been in the works for 3 years. Construction is scheduled for summer 2019.
