Club Meeting of January 21

The meeting was called to order by club president, Tom Craig. Tom reminded club members of the upcoming grant making seminars sponsored by our district, 6630. Tom said we need to have 2 club members attend in order for our club to be able to apply for grants in the 2016/2017 Rotary year. Speaking of District Grants, Tom indicated the club needs to investigate the status of the grant for Play Attention. Former club member Kim Buehler had indicated the grant had been awarded to the club.

Vic Myers shared that the winner of the Barberton 125th Anniversary Logo contest would be awarded on the 22nd, and there would be a presentation by the Mayor. The winners would then be on display at Nine Muses Gallery.

Our speaker was Patti Weber, the Executive Director of Love an Angel Foundation. Patti shared the special needs of individuals born with this genetic disorder. It is a rare disorder that affects 1 of 12-20k live births.
