The meeting was called to order by club president, Jim Sawin. Guests were recognized and included our speaker Arthur Brite. Bid shared that Vic's video is up -it is a YouTube video and can also be viewed on Summa's website. The YouTube link is :  https://youtu.be/GRkRNeVAinQ

Jim plugged the YMCA Reverse Raffle to be held Thursday, Feb 8, he has a few tickets if anyone is interested.

Our speaker Arthur Brite shared how to Quarterback the $ale, how Respect +Trust= Relationships. When you have Commitment and you Communicate you make Connections and can Create. Also there are more than 2 people to involve to make a successful contract: the Gate Keeper, King, Godfather, $ person, the soldiers and your team.

The board met following the meeting to discuss the request made by last week by the Fairlawn Club-that Barberton present their clubs grant request to the District 6630 for the new Observatory at Bath Nature Preserve. The Fairlawn Club is short of the necessary funds to complete the project but are unable to apply to the district themselves having just successfully applied for a grant. Our board requested clarification as to which Rotary year the grant would be applied- this year, Jim's year or the next. If it was the next year we would have concerns that we would not be able to apply ourselves. Jim advised he would contact Fairlawn and clarify the grant year. The District Grant Committee will meet on Monday, Feb 5.
