Club Meeting of January 15

The meeting was called to order by club president Nick Wladyczak. Guests were recognized. VP of Club Service, Denny Liddle invited club members to bring a prospective Rotarian to our social event to be held on Friday, February 20th at Dusty's Landing. Club members are also asked to bring a covered dish as we will be having a pot luck meal. He also advised there will be a planning meeting for the Rotary Club of Barberton Fdn, 12th Annual Royal H Wood Memorial Golf Outing, to be held June 5, 2015. The planning meeting will be held after the monthly club board meeting in February.

 

VP of Community Service, Brian Bidlingmyer advised he had raffle tickets for the Akron Rotary Clubs, Chili Open. This will be the 25th year for their event to be held on February 7th, proceeds to benefit the Rotary Camp for Special Needs Children at Rex Lake. Nick shared that volunteer opportunities may also be available for our club members.

 

Nick read a thank you note from the Lily Bike Project. Our club donated $815 towards a specially modified bicycle.

 

Reverse Raffle Chair, Ruth Kaser advised the date and location have been reserved for the club event. It will be held at Guy's Party Center on October 29, 2015.
