The meeting was called to order by club president, Jim Sawin. Guests were recognized and included Rotary District 6630 Governor Amy Kapostasy and her husband, Bob. Vic shared the sad news that former Barberton Rotary club member Karen Burnette passed away. Vic said her funeral service was yesterday, with club member, Todd McKenney officiating.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923. www.scleroderma.org  . Vic indicated he will be recommending a memorial be made in the name of our club to the Scleroderma Fdn at our upcoming board meeting on February 13, any club members wishing to add on to that memorial please see him.
 
Chris shared that there is a District Grants Committee meeting Saturday Feb 24 to cover District Grants for the 2018/2019 Rotary year. Our club must have 2 members attend each year in order to qualify to apply for any District grants. The meeting will be held :   Feb 24, 2018 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM Mayfield Library 500 Som Center Road Mayfield Village, OH 44143 United States

Vic shared that Barbertonopoly would make a great Valentines Day gift.- we still have a few games.
Rick suggested donating/regifting to the club the gift cards you may have received for Christmas for our Golf Outing on June 8
 
Our speaker Amy talked about how she got involved in Rotary, she shared what she thinks may be Rotary I's next project once polio is eradicated. Amy also presented Barb with her Paul Harris plus 3 pin. Amy's bio can be found on the 6630 website
