Ruth won the coin toss and ran the meeting. Our guest included our speaker- John Reyes the District 6630 Governor. Birthdays were recognized and included Bruce 12/5, and Critch -tomorrow. Critch shared he will be celebrating number 86.  Also a Rotary anniversary was recognized- Rick Fisher being a Rotarian for 28 years. Rick shared that when he joined at around 41 years old he was one of the youngest in the club and he appreciated the number of new members joining our club.
No one won the big 50/50 pot, now over $430. 
The highlights of the recent board meeting were shared:
  • New members Kate and Brett have been approved and were welcomed as new members. Their induction as new members will be once their new member materials have been received from RI. 
  • To further foster club fun and potential growth we would like to continue the practice of social/gather outside of the club meeting events. The board came up with some suggestions and there will be a further discussion at the next meeting. Also the list will be shared via email to the club along with the pictures of the new sports bar that is located in Tim's building.
  • Next Weds. Dec 18 is the Magic Singers Holiday concert in the BHS Theatre at 7:30 am. We will be joined by the two Kiwanis clubs. There will be a meeting at 8:30 am with Jeff Ramnytz of our club and Kiwanis regarding the future of the Birdie Bag Program.
  • Next Thursday, Dec 19, is our last meeting of the calendar year. We will meet at Thano's as usual and will have a breakfast buffet. Club members are encouraged to bring a guest, and/or family. Todd Sabol will be our speaker. Ruth will send out an email for the head count. 
Our speaker John Reyes talked about Rotary- we are the oldest, and the largest of the service clubs. He also shared some of Rotary accomplishments and how we have connected to the world.
