The meeting was called to order by club president, Chris Stoll. Guests were recognized and included Bob Rees, and past Barberton Rotary presidents Margie Roop and Tom DeBord.
VP of Community, Bid shared that we currently have speakers for our club meetings through the end of September. Reverse Raffle Chair Jim Sawin passed out the ticket list and Reverse Raffle event tickets. Members are asked to each sell 4 tickets and to provide 2 baskets for the event. Jim shared a letter requesting donations for the Reverse Raffle & Silent Auction has been created along with a basket analysis of our 2015 Silent Auction. Both documents will be emailed to club members.
Margie Roop drew the 50/50 ticket. Margie shared that we are coming up on the 10 year anniversary of her trip to West Africa to establish micro trust banks. Our original project has changed many lives. The club members requested she return to a meeting to talk about the original project and the impact it has made. Margie was the club president in 2008-2009.
Tom DeBord is also a past president of the club from 2004-2005. He was with Summa Barberton Hospital, he relocated to Washington. The club presented him with a Barbetonopoly game to remember Barberton.
