The meeting was called to order by Club President, Jim Sawin. Guests were recognized and included: Ava Myers, our speakers and Judge Todd McKenney.  Reverse Raffle & Silent Auction Tickets and event flyers were passed out at the meeting  by Todd Wallace and Vic Myers. Club members are encourage to each sell 3 tickets. The proceeds to benefit our area projects for this budget year: the Magical Theatre, interpretative signage on the TowPath Trail and the Emerging Futures program. Sign-up for helping at Tons of Taters was passed around, most shifts are now only the slot of 4-6pm on Saturday Sept 23 remains. The sign up sheets for the Nooks and Crannies Tour and Brew at the Zoo were also passed around. Selena thanked club members for getting speakers, only 4 slots remain for this Rotary year.
 
Our speakers were 2 intern that have been working in city government with Joe Stefan : They are Justine Liddle and Marisa Russo. Justine is the daughter of club member Denny Liddle. Justine and Marisa shared news of  the programs they are working on. Their internship is a Mayor Judge initiative that Joe think has been successful. Both Justine and Marisa were in DECA at BHS Justine is in her 2nd year at Heidelberg and Marisa graduated this year and will be attending the University of Akron.  Some of their projects included the Neighborhood First Project, the list of city lots, helping at Switching Gears and Barberton Better Block. Joe spoke briefly about how busy it is at the Planning Dept these days as there are every day businesses reaching out to them interested in moving to Barberton.
