The club had its first meeting via Zoom. Don ran the meeting- there was no coin toss. We all shared news of how we were doing. We discussed the golf outing, if it can go on, etc. The golf outing will be a topic at the next board meeting. We will have a virtual board meeting, and everyone is welcome to attend. The zoom meeting number, web link and phone numbers to use to join the meeting will be sent out via email for both the board meeting and the next weekly meeting.
Don and Ruth made the scholarship determinations- a total of 5: Manchester -academic, Norton and Barberton will each have a Vocational and Academic. We unfortunately will not be able to have our 4 Cities Compact Awards breakfast. The recipients will be notified of their awards.
Don, Ruth and Bob Rees attended a meeting of our South Summit Rotary Cluster with members of Akron, Green and Medina Sunrise. One of the items discussed was what the other clubs were doing to help out in their community. Several clubs were going out and volunteering, some were promoting donation.
