Club meeting of 12/15/2016

The meeting was called to order by club president, Denny Liddle. Denny shared that the club will have a special holiday offering of Barbertonopoly of $20 a game. We will have a color ad in the Barberton Herald for the next 2 weeks advertising the games and places to purchase.  Tom Craig will be our greeter for the month of January, our next meeting will be held January 5, 2017.

 

VP of Club Service, Selena Myers shared that Deck the Hall at Stan Hywett was well attended by club members and their families. A group picture was posted on the Rotary Club of Barberton Facebook page.  Selena also advised our club website is current with regards to the speaker calendar. Club members are encouraged to visit the club website and speaker calendar.  

 

VP of Vocational Service, Shelly Habegger shared news of a Keynote and Book Signing to be held February 3, 2017, from 8 am to 11 am in Barberton HS Theatre. The speaker will be teacher, author and founder of the Freedom Writers Fdn, Erin Gruwell. Erin's topic will be "Becoming a Catalyst for Change". 

 

Our speaker was Deacon Robin Adair. Rev. Adair was ordained in 1994. He shared some of his thoughts regarding finding God in the ordinary, or finding meaning in the ordinary.
